General Summary:

The Equipment Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the operations of a comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair program and equipment safety programs. This program includes the repair of failing equipment, keeping records of parts and labor needed to maintain each piece of equipment, and placing order for parts and supplies needed for equipment or service. The Equipment Manager properly communicates any needs or problems relating to the maintenance or repair of equipment to the Farm Manager, and schedules and directs the work of mechanic(s) and freight loader(s). The Equipment Manager places safety as a top priority and is responsible for maintaining a clean service area and maintenance building.

 

Essential Functions:

Equipment Functions

This position is an experienced Regional Sales Manager, responsible for developing and implementing sales performance results in alignment with sales objectives for the region.

In this Role You Will:

  • Monitors and tracks equipment on a daily basis, by location, type and use.
  • Maintains a preventative maintenance program within budget on all equipment, and purchases repair parts and replacement supplies.
  • Keeps a complete set of record for equipment and parts inventory purchases, equipment conditions, costs of repairs and preventative maintenance for all equipment.
  • Helps to prepare purchase orders for rental equipment; tracks each piece of rented equipment by assigned location.
  • In coordination with mechanic, inspects, diagnoses and repairs equipment.
  • Prioritizes equipment repair and maintenance work.
  • Make recommendations to managements when a piece of equipment needs to be replaced or retired.
  • Coordinates repairs and maintenance with mechanics; generates purchase orders for approval in accordance with the company policy and the accounting system for repairs or required maintenance.

Safety Officer Functions

  • Instructs workers regarding preventative maintenance, and the proper cleaning and safe operating of equipment.
  • In coordinate with Safety and Compliance Manager, investigate accidents, develop/lead training programs & initiatives.
  • Inspects the company’s equipment on a weekly basis or as required to be safe and compliant with all DOT requirement (on equipment where applicable).
  • Inspects the pre-post trip inspection sheets turned in my each driver documenting; no less than weekly will conduct a visual inspection of all delivery equipment with the driver present.
  • Coordinates training sessions for new equipment with operators as needed.
  • Coordinates training sessions for new hires on equipment as needed.

Leadership and Development Functions

  • Leverage strengths of Mechanics and Freight Loaders, clarify roles and responsibilities for each.
  • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Collaborate with other Equipment Managers at other locations.

General Summary:

The Customer Experience Specialist will partner with the entire customer experience team to see the customer orders from there initiation through to their successful completion of delivery.

This position is responsible for: routing all deliveries in the most cost efficient way, ensuring all drivers have correct delivery information (address, arrival time, etc.) on tablets, sending out ETAs to customers, communicating issues/changes with customers/sales/farms timely, helping to answer the phones, give pricing to customers and information on product selection, monitoring and assessing delays in deliveries in order to react quickly to make adjustments and revisions.

The ideal candidate will genuinely care about the happiness of our customer, have strong computer skills, the ability to learn routing software, effective communication skills both orally and written, a professional and friendly demeanor both via telephone and in electronic communication, must be highly motivated and able to work independently.

Previous routing, logistics, turfgrass/sod knowledge helpful, but not required.
